Versalis, Italy's leader in basic chemicals, plastics, rubbers, and renewable-source chemistry, has in recent years invested in the development of sustainable materials through mechanical and chemical recycling technologies, feedstock diversification, and resource optimization.

In addition to the BA and BCA product lines, the offering includes two mechanical recycling product lines:

• REVIVE®: a product range based on various polymers (styrenics, elastomers, polyethylene) containing recycled raw materials, developed in Versalis’ research labs.
• REFENCE®: an innovative range of mechanically recycled polymers designed for direct food contact applications.
  This new family enriches the Versalis Revive® portfolio, expanding mechanical recycling opportunities and targeting polystyrene food packaging.
  The NEWER technology, developed with Forever Plast, ensures purification of recycled polymers in compliance with EU Regulation 1616/2022, and has received a No Objection Letter (NOL) from the U.S. FDA (Food and Drug Administration).
