Febo 3R

Sustainable
Innovation
in Polymers

Distribuzione Plastica Seconda Vita

Febo 3R was created to meet a threefold challenge:

  • Reduce consumption and minimize waste released into the environment.
  • Reuse materials and components in new applications.
  • Recycle and give new life to plastic waste.

Launched in 2021, Febo 3R is an innovative business unit specializing in the distribution of:

  • Biopolymers
  • Recycled plastic materials, derived from both post-consumer (PCR) and post-industrial (PIR) sources
  • BA and BCA polymers, sourced from certified renewable feedstock

Febo 3R represents the eco-sustainable division of FEBO GROUP, while maintaining the same core values that have always defined Febo:

  • High quality and a wide range of solutions
  • Certifications ensuring traceability and safety
  • Expert customer care and technical support services

Biopolymers
Performance Meets Sustainability

We specialize in the supply of biopolymers for a wide variety of applications:

  • Compounds for blown film extrusion, ideal for shopping bags, produce bags, and mulching films
  • Materials for injection molding, suitable for coffee capsules, disposable cutlery, cosmetic packaging, toys, plant clips, and more

To ensure the highest sustainability standards, our biopolymers can be custom-colored using compostable masterbatches, which are also included in our product offering.

PIR
High-Quality Industrial Recycling

We collaborate with leading Italian and European recyclers and produce our proprietary materials under the FEBOGREEN brand, sourcing directly from industrial packaging waste in the hygiene sector.

PCR
The Second Life of Plastic

We’ve established solid partnerships with companies specialized in the collection, sorting, and recycling of post-consumer urban plastic waste.

We offer a broad range of second-life materials, including:

  • rPE, rPP, rPET, and PO blend compounds
  • Suitable for applications such as film extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, and rotational molding

Our commitment to innovation is constant—we are continuously researching and developing new materials.

BA and BCA Polymers
Plastics from Renewable Resources

Our portfolio includes certified polymers derived from renewable sources through mass balance attribution:

  • BA products: made with bio-naphtha sourced from biological feedstock, such as palm oil
  • BCA products: derived from bio-circular naphtha obtained from waste materials like used cooking oil, organic waste, and agricultural residues

BA and BCA polymers are chemically identical to traditional polymers, but with a significantly lower environmental impact. Their use enables greenhouse gas emission reductions of up to 150% for BA and 200% for BCA, based on waste-derived inputs.

Being mass balance-based, every actor in the supply chain must be ISCC+ certified—including us—ensuring maximum transparency and reliability.
